Winter's Gift
03:51
|
|||
The bitter winter wind
Blows a change of season in
The stars appear so early on
Soon enough the day is done
A candle in a window burns
An essence of light that will return
And above the clouds
Is a speck of dust
Waiting to fall onto us
And the first flake to fall
Will be winter's gift to us all
Walking the silent streets
The spirits like to walk with me
Time leaves us far behind
That's the way of life's design
People sleeping in their beds
Sugar plums dancing in their head
And above the clouds
Is a speck of dust
Waiting to fall onto us
And the first flake to fall
Will be winter's gift to us all
Instrumental
Over the horizon appears
The light of day is finally here
Illuminated blanket of white
Shines and shimmers oh so bright
And people are stirring from their sleep
The Christmas countdown is complete
And above the clouds
Is a speck of dust
Waiting to fall onto us
And the first flake to fall
Will be winter's gift to us all
And the first flake to fall
Will be winter's gift to us all

Sankta Lucia
02:48
|

Night walks with a heavy step
Round yard and hearth
As the sun departs from earth
Shadows are brooding
There in our darkened house
Walking with candles
Santa Lucia, Santa Lucia
Night walks so silently
Now hear its gentle wings
In every room so hushed
Whispering like wings
Look at our threshold stands
Wearing a crown of light
Santa Lucia, Santa Lucia
Darkness shall take flight
From valleys deep
Marvellous words to us
We hear her speak
Now day shall rise again
Coming with rosy skies
Santa Lucia, Santa Lucia
